If he takes you out places it's not just about sex but if he always wants to go to his place or yours with movies I would say that is a sign of sex. If he asks for it and when you say no if he gets mad you know all he wants is sex. Trust your gut!!

It's hard to tell these days, but... I would suggest making him wait a while before you give it up. Get to know him for longer than a few months before getting intimate.
If you already are having sex with him, then it's a bit more difficult. How is he around your friends? Does he try to impress them or mostly keep his attention on you? (guys eyes will wander naturally so don't take too much offense) How does he act when both of you are around his friends? Does he try to show you off or almost ignore you when they're around? Has he asked you to meet his family or friends? When you 2 are alone, does he automatically want to get in bed every time? (of course, that could just mean that it's great sex) There are a million signs that we just don't take notice of when we like someone. So be careful and watch the signs. This depends on the person and there is no exact time frame.... Although I am sure he is enjoying the sex and this will help....
