some people are allergic to penicillin. along with the itchy & scratchy feeling (very mild) to the near-death closing & shutting down of vital organs (due to the allergy), the actual act of going insane; this does not ring true. the reaction might make you feel crazy and while the penicillin is in your system it can & does alter your overall demeanor. going insane? to lose all sense of reality? that is a 90 degree difference of change & i'm not too positive that medication such as penicillin taken so briefly could bend the mind so permanently. are you taking about long-time taking of the stuff? why would anyone do that w/out a doctor's care is beyond me. and why would a doctor prescribe something to a person who has such an adverse effect to it is also a mystery. also, keep in mind penicillin is a cultured mold & mold has been known to cause people stress, medical mostly. psychologically? Nah!
