The phrase taken literally would imply that you can fall in love with someone simply by seeing them.
That is impossible. It may be known as lust, or admiration for someone's appearance, but you can't truly love with someone without knowing them at a personal and intellectual level.

Absolutely not.
I believe in "lust" at first sight...
but real love means knowing a person intimately, knowing their good and bad points, and accepting them completely for what they are to get the good despite the bad.
You can't know anything about the person other than their looks and a superficial guess at their personality on "first sight," so it can't be love.
It might develop into love, but it isn't right off the bat :)

Yes I do. Cause when I was outside with my friends, this boy came up to me and ask me my name and I told him. Then like a month later we started to date and I do believe love at first sight.

Absolutely! And I married her!
I saw her 4 years ago... she walked past my cubicle at work. I saw her face, the way she walked, the way she turned and smiled at me as she passed by. She was "it", the woman I've been looking for all this time.
And no, I wasn't thinking in any kind of sexual, lustful way. I simply "knew" that I just saw the woman I would marry someday.
Sure enough, about a year later, we got married. And we are absolutely perfect for each other.
So, to those that say "it's just lust at first sight"... only if that's the only thing you see.
To those who want to believe... it is real, and it does happen.

No! I believe you can really really fancy someone the very first time you lay eyes on them, but to love someone, you have to get to know them. How can you love someone you've never even spoken to? It's like fancying a celebrity! Honestly, it's impossible!
