As I am a proud owner of 2 cats and worked with animals for the past 5 years, giving your kitty dairy products is BAD. One, your cat is actually lactose intolerant- they cannot process the dairy products. Also the gas is HORRIBLE!!!!!

The cat I had never had a problem with dairy products. Just don't feed them dairy all the time. I usually gave the cat a small bowl of milk about once a week, an egg mixed in with the food once a month, and a bit of cheese here and there.

Contrary to popular belief, cats should not have regular cow's milk. Cats are lactose intolerant - If you are giving your cat milk on a regular basis, you are doing more harm than good. Lactose causes kitties to suffer from bouts of horrible gas and diarrhea, which deprives them of nutrients and hydration. Some human foods are okay for cats, if they show no signs of allergies from them. If you cat likes milk and you would like to continue giving him this as a treat, I suggest soy milk, as it doesn't contain the high amounts of lactose found in cow milk... It will make life easier and healthier for the both of you. Hope this helps :)

I stopped giving my cat milk because he was having diarrhea. He was very young and really not weaned from the mother, but he couldn't eat the hard food yet. I softened the hard food with hot
bouillon. Just pour it on and drain it so it doesn't get mushy. I also feed him canned tuna that cost less than canned cat food. He went from the runt to the biggest one in the litter.
It worked so I surmised he was lactose intolerant. I originally used canned milk as it had a higher fat content as mother's milk does.

Nope, no dairy...but there is a product called Cat-Sip that is basically milk for cats. Cats are unable to digest the lactose in milk which is why they get diarrhea and such...just like lactose intolerant humans.

It's not bad. My cat loves melted ice cream or milk. Whenever I have ice cream or a glass of milk, she goes to it like flies to honey. It's not bad for her. She's only 10. I have no clue on cheese. I say it's false, because I've seen the cat act that way.

dont give your cat cows milk because they are lactose intolerant - they can get an upset stomach or diarreah, there is a special milk made just for cats in the pet section of supermarket.
cheese is ok if they like it, it is processed different to milk, also raw eggs are good.

Dairy products are bad for your cat because they have lactose in them and a cats system does not digest lactose. This will cause diarrhea which causes dehydration which can cause death, eventually.
With all the nutritious foods that are available for your cat now a days, why would you give it something that it doesn't need and could be bad for her?

It is true. Milk and dairy products can cause diarrhea and other stomach problems. Most adult cats are lactose intolerant

Most cats are lactose intolerant, however, there are some cats who can eat dairy without having any problems. Your cat may be one of the few who doesn't have problems.
