Not familiar with Kleen bore but use Breakfree as a lubericant.

I clean with a solvent or plain old rubbing alcohol and then use the Breakfree. It has a teflon base that will penitrate the metal with makes it easier and easier to clean.

Since it is a cleaner and lubericant it does not allow the carbon and lead to stick to the metal as easily as oil only products.

There will be some detractors, but I think BreakFree CLP is the bomb.

Granted, it's less than ideal in the dry desert dust environments of Iraq where it attracts too much dust and clogs things up, but for you and your needs, it's great.

Breakfree Cleans Lubricates Protects(CLP) That's good enough for me.
