RemOil is okay for cleaning/storage purposes but for actual shooting lubrication I would recommend Militech or some other comparable synthetic lubricant. I have had real good luck with that brand when shooting and afterwords for clean-up, the carbon doesn't stick to the weapon and just wipes off. It is suppose to bond to the metal with the heat generated from firing and give long term lubrication under harsh conditions.

It's fine, but try Breakfree, I think it's the best all-around-if-you-only-had-one-can-of-stuff-this-is-it deal. Cleans, Lubricates, And Protects!

rem oil was fine back in the early 80's when it came out.

do yourself a favor and look int Butch's Bore Shine and other products.
they are used by the best of the best.
stay away from teflon products as they have a fouling problem all their own
Really... do the research and you will see why the best competitive shooters use it.
