If the cookie dough is made with eggs, there's a salmonella risk associated with it. However, if you're eating the pre-made dough that you only have to bake off, it's pretty safe from a food-poisoning standpoint.

This is from my own personal experience. I have been eating raw cookie dough, cake batter, brownie batter for years now, I am 50 years old. I have made my own cookie dough and I might, if I am lucky get to bake some cookies out of it, or if I buy a roll of it from the store....and I am lucky if I get any cookies made out of it, as I eat so much raw dough that it is not funny. I have been known to buy a roll or 2 and hide it in the freezer to have it for when I want to eat it, right out of the roll. I don't stop with a spoon full or two either. I have been known several times to eat at least a 1/4 of the roll before I stop. I think the best ones are the chocolate chip and the sugar cookies.

The worst thing that has ever happened to me is getting a belly ache once in awhile. Oh and I guess you are wondering now just how big I am. Wellllllll, I have put on some weight this winter, but right now I am 135. But this summer I will get rid of the extra fat.

Now if you want to eat some cookie dough, go for it, but let me join in on the party cause I love eating that good stuff too.

well they say if you eat too much at once that the raw eggs are bad for you. But 2-3 tbs isnt that much. But, to be on the safe side if you really want Cookie Dough just have some Otis Spunkmeyer because they've been frozen a long time, and proccessed. Or, you could try Cookie Dough Bites, their candy you can typically get at the movie theatre, and their basically cookie dough dipped in chocolate but somehow they dont have egg in them...

i would not say so, thinking you're able to purchase cookie dough ice cream! the real possibility in ingesting uncooked cookie dough is eggs. If the cookie dough has been made by employing hand, it in all possibility has uncooked eggs in it, and those could be risky - Salmonella. even with the undeniable fact that, i could say that Pillsbury (that's the spelling, BTW) is in all possibility employing an egg exchange or some style of egg that has already been processed. the only real possibility in ingesting this way of dough isn't understanding while to end - definite, what your mom advised you is real - ingesting too plenty cookie dough provide you a abdomen soreness, yet merely when you consider which you ate too plenty!

well cookie dough has raw eggs in it. So you could get salmonella poisoning and that *could* be really bad or just make you a little sick. That's the only real down side to it if you don't mind the calories and fat in it.
