It's usually pretty close to what you find online. The rate changes daily. You probably will find someone online who can tell becuz the day they tell you by the time you get there it will have changed. And remember the rate you find online is for Millions of dollars, you have to deduct at least one percent or more. I have cashed money or checked the rate in the Airport and checked the rates at the exchange booths say at MBK center in downtown Bangkok. The rates will be 1 percent lower at the booths in MBK consistently. Say it was 36.65 at the airport which is what it was last month when I was there. They were selling Baht at 36.35 at booth in MBK. The booths at the airport have been consistently better than in town. The airport has a higher volume therefore a better rate usually. You will pay for the convenience in the mall or the branches.

You will also note a difference in rates between exchanging USD 20 and USD50 or USD 100, like a 1 percent difference.

Normally the exchange rate is lower at the exchange houses at the airport or around Bangkok, not by much perhaps .3 or .4 lower difference.

The best rates are still at the banks, also at the bank the exchange rate will vary depending on the denomination of the bills, 20 is less than the 50 and the 100 note gets the prime exchange rate.
