I haven't checked the other answers yet but I'm guessing you're going to get some useless advice about some mythical being. Generally, I tend to agree with you except that I can think of better ways to go than liver failure. Also, it's a question of how long you want to live. In any event, you may not die young no matter what you do. By all means, enjoy life but find a better drug than the government sanctioned one of alcohol. It's a crummy high and the dues the next day aren't really worth it, to say nothing of the dues in the long run.

Well I think that those things are not bad, if that is what suits you. How do they say it... "everything in moderation". I personally have known several people who have died from lung cancer, that is NOT a pretty way to go, I can say for sure, so don't smoke yourself to death. I think that personal happiness is just as important as lifestyle choices such as drinking and smoking. Everyone makes their own decisions for their own life, so if one is happy eating lettuce and soy and drinking water all their life, then that's fine, but I personally would not be happy living that way, I enjoy red meat and beer and wine and an occasional smoke. Many people will forego the health risks associated with these things, to enjoy the mental, spiritual, and social benefits they may get out of drinking and smoking. I truly believe that anything that makes you happy cannot be 100% bad for you.

id rather not die an excrutiatingly painful death of lung cancer and liver failure, thank you. i drink on occassion to have fun and socialize. however i dont and never will smoke. plus, consideration for others is a big factor. there are 65% more deadly chemicals found in second hand smoke than the smoke thats being inhaled by the actual smoker. sounds to me like you dont think of anyone else but yourself. just another selfish, simple minded ********** is what you sound like. personally, life is worth living long because its already too short to begin with. and its much more fulfilling when you live it for the ones you love and cherish and not just yourself. you should try it sometime

most would prefer a long and healthy life. you will think so to when you are rotting away in a hospital bed with lung cancer or a destroyed liver. why not become a crack addict? you will really be living in the fast lane then.

I gave up smoking 28 years ago on Christmas Day and it was the best health decision or for that matter, any decision I ever made in my life.

Because when you die you are going to have to give an account to the One who made you and you will have to answer for two things. IF you accepted His son and IF you wisely used your life.

i disagree, you can do this to yourself sure i dont care. but these actions affect others around you. when you smoke your not the only 1 who is taking in the smoke, and drinking causes drunk driving, recklessness, and many other things. if none of this affected anyone else i wouldnt care but sense it does i do.
