My mother-in-law gossips back and forth about me and my sister-in-law = to each other and has basically made me and my sister/brother - in - law not want to speak to each other any more. She over exaggerates everything and tells them whatever she feels about me that is just not true. It is really hurtful. I have thought about writing a heart to heart to my brother/sister - in - law, but they seem to take her side. What can I do? Just ignore it?

That was her plan to play the both of you, If I were you I would keep away from her she means you no good. whenever she calls say hey and bye to keep things simple, that way you know you didn't say anything out the way to her so she can run and tell your sister-in-law. get your sister in law to go with you to your mother in laws house and the two of you confront her in what she is doing. She will probably deny it , but if she has done it to both of you, you both will know better and it might bring it to an end. Then tell her to mind her business and not yours...good luck

I empathize with you in this concern. although, after listening to her age and greater of the flaws she does, it makes me contemplate whether there's a medical reason it incredibly is inflicting her behavoir? perhaps it has no longer something to do with attempting to harm you or inflict discomfort or hardship on your son. perhaps she has something incorrect along with her medically. I stay around countless older human beings and from what you're describing , she looks like a number of them. and that they be stricken by Alzheimer’s... previously throwing the rag in on her, take a glance on the information superhighway website that I posed under and see if any of it fits your mom in regulation. And if so, then perhaps it's time to seek for help and medical look after her. ultimate needs

I have been married for 15 yearsand my mother in-law is constantly gossiping about me . so what i do is start a little white lie about myself and sit back and wait for it to get to her ,then i just sit back and laugh about how immature she is and how far she will take it

You have to tell them and get everyone together and tell then to Stop! That really bothers just tell them and stop seeing them for a wile to see what happens good luck :)
