how does someone become color-blind?

i am doing a report on colr-blindness, and i need to know facts or helpful links about how a person BECOMES colorblind.

Generally one is born colorblind, but there are diseases of the optic nerve that can also cause it.

Suggest you google colorblindness, you will find tons of information.
