I don't think one is more then the other, because Scripture commands both! I think what pleases God the most is when the two are genuine and consistent. Some people know how to put on "the worship face" when they are with the brethren, but don't do so when alone. Others will pray faithfully, but, for some reason, choose not to gather together with other believers. Speaking (not proudly) as someone who has done both, I knew my life was not pleasing God to its fullest.

Both are commanded! I think God is the most pleased when both strengthens the other (Our private worship prepares us to be more Godly when we are with the body, and our time with the body should encourage us to worship God privately).

Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, private worship! You worship and love God with all your heart, mind and soul when you are ever conscious of your behavior and thoughts. And when you pray, that's a bonus. Live your life from day-to-day in ways most pleasing to God and sometimes, often even, that becomes public; but it is your private, intimate way of pleasing God.

I'd say both are in God's favor but public worship often entails people putting on 'a show' to please watchful eyes.

God knows your heart - so whether you worship in public or private he'll know where your sincerity lies. You cannot fool The Lord.

Private worship, integrity is how you act when nobody is with you, it's kinday the same thing. Anybody can go to church and worship, but if you do your private worship as well, thats what i think counts even more.

The Bible says that "obedience is better than sacrifice", so my answer would be that they are all important because they are all guidelines for Godly living. It is my personal opinion that when people begin to exalt one script ion over another, it is not pleasing to God at all. All Scriptures were written for our edification, growth, and to draw us closer. Congrats for doing the 40 days. Let the Spirit of the Lord draw you to the absolute truth.

Private worship. Anyone can "showcase" in the public. It's what you do behind closed doors that's important in your prayer life and worship. It's you and God alone. It's you taking time out of your schedule to show God your love and faith in Him.

What matters most to God is your heart. No matter where you are in times when you worship Him..., it doesn't matter- as long as your heart is there. What is it in private place when you heart is not there? God weigh the heart. He knows what's our inside and outward. Nothing is hidden from Him. An obedient heart is more pleasing to Him than sacrifice.

Your private worship, because it is who you are rather than the show you put on with others.

Worship full of feeling and passion, with tears of joy or sorrow, be it in public or private.
