I'm not a doctor so I want to make this clear: my daughter is a surgical tech on a heart team that transplants hearts (about five a week) and has done this for about five years now. I'm only a retired MedLab Technologist supervisor. We talk a lot but, we're not the "man" in any way or sense. If this is serious go to a doctor (cardiologist preferably) I was just to see mine and could have asked, he's helped me before.

I do know the Kidney disease (renal failure) will put stress on the heart and cause swelling, water retention, etc and eventually failure. For further info see above.
