I've looked at the data provided by straight scientists, and not environmentalist fanatics from the last 25 Million years. We are warming, but significantly by a natural process only.

Human industry is having very little effect on the warming process we know today as Global Warming.

The Earth goes through warming and cooling stages on a sinusoidal pattern, up & down. We are currently coming out of an Ice Age and heading into a Warm Eon. As I've looked at the past 25 million years, where we are now is not as high as some of the past CO2 levels or Temperatures.

A lot of the data provided by those environmentalists is skewed and morphed in thier favor. Changeing a bit of the chart can alter chart enough to make it look like it favors thier claim. Car Dealerships and many big businesses do this to help sell thier product to the people.

Which is why I actually research anything that involves charts or data. I never trust the seller of the possibly bogus information.

I wonder why assumptions about the scientific community are made such as what was stated in one answer that most scientists are undecided. Where is the source of this? Read New Scientist, listen to world leaders, what about the Stern Report? Do you truly believe this is just propaganda? Why can we not look for beacons in the media landscape that we know to be true rather than being sidetracked by lobbyists muddying the water? Green party talk with little or no backing? What questions have you asked them? To be a credible force they can't just make things up? Both side of politics in the UK government have accepted climate change is happening, the argument over there is not about that, the debates are what measures should be taken.

Not at all, sun flair is at its highest output in 8,000 years. Global warming started when the Ice age left as N. America was once covered in Ice so what's all the fuss about other then politicians playing scare politics to get you to vote for them. Fact: In the 70's the same pundits were screaming global cooling. Search Newsweek for the article or the web. Science foundation was saying the same thing. The planet was cooling. Other Scientist blame intercontinent movement while others blame Mt ST Helen. Again, scientists are all over the map with this.

I think it's a given that warming is happening, and it will have a huge impact on many of the systems on the planet. Their are a lot of things that could be contributing to this, axial tilt, solar luminosity, orbit around the sun, etc.

Everyone worries about how much CO2 we're putting in the atmosphere. What about methane? Ten times more effective as a greenhouse gas. There is a huge amount locked in gas hydrates in Artic sediment. If that lot gets out we really do have problems.

I do think we can do more, and should clean up our act. I also think it's a done deal. We should be figuring out how to live with the consequences of what's happening.

There are natural occurences that increase the temperature of the earth, like volcano eruptions, but there are also some things that humans induce to increase the extremity of global warming. Using aerosol chemical/ nuclear plants, aerosol cans, driving gas-powered vehicles, littering, etc.

There are also things you can't help, like breathing, for example. Global warming isn't just because humans have been eating up natural resources and releasing chemicals that deteriorate the o-zone layer. However, scientists have claimed that it has been increasing the extent of global warming.

Our behaviors may have some impact on the natural cycle - but I am not sure it makes a large difference. Al Gore's movie suggests that it does - showing evidence that there is a spike in recent years that can be attributed to new technologies - but I am a bit skeptical.

The bottom line the Earth will continue much after we disapear - and it's bound to happen at some point.

I think it is true that humans are definitely involved in global warming, but if you look at the cycle of the world there are times when the Earth gets hotter or colder.
