I think it's "Je te connais ma cheri?" referred to a female

"Je te connais mon cheri" referred to a male

If you don't think you know the person, you'd probably use "vous" rather than "tu".

Est-ce que je vous connais, mon chÃ¨re (m)/ ma cherie (f)?
