like i said, the story is just symbolic, the story was written hundreds of years after it happened.

First of all an equal question would be, "Why are we punished for and commit the same wrongs as Adam and Eve did?" We know that creation was perfect and that the animals were perfect and could only follow the will of God. Therefore if the serpent allowed itself to be used by Satan it would make sense to punish them as a whole. A good question that, if it could be answered, the answer could lead to a possible explination: If there was only one man and one woman, was there only one male and one female of every kind of animal? If this is true then all serpents that have no legs would have decended from that serpent(s).

Let's understand something. The serpent and the satan are two different things. The satan is an angel who, under God's direction, attempts to tempt others into sin. The satan is powerless to force anyone to do anything.
In the Garden, the serpent was just below man in the ranking of superiority and the prototype for all snakes. The satan tempted the serpent with thoughts of equality with man, which appealled to the serpent and thus the serpent allowed himself to be used as a tool to trap Eve.
For his willing role in all this, the serpent was punished as it states.

The bible says that the sepent was more cunning, crafty than any of the beasts of the field. this is probably why satan chose a serpent. why did God curse the snake, this is only opinion, to give the rest of the animals an advantage over the snake

The story of adam and eve was told in at least two different versions in the bible. One version says that it was a snake and the other says it was Satan. It mixes up in peoples minds.
Look, it really is just a fictional story though

Do you believe in the God referred to in Genesis? If you do then you believe in the bible. So the reason is Becase God ordered it.
Have you prayed for an answer as to why? You know hearing what God says to you is really hard. There is so much other interference out there. Try going to Moody.com and find an e mail that you can ask the question too.
How can you expect just anyone to explain what God did or Does? You might want to try somone that has really strudied the Bible. At least they would be in the same county as your question.

Here's what I think: satan can only get into our hearts if we let him, so maybe, up to a certain point, that specific snake could've agreed to it. And then all of them were cursed just like we have to endure sin because of Adam and Eve.

The story is symbolic, not literal.
The serpent represents human attachment to earthly things, which causes man to be disobedient to the command of the One True God.
In the past we killed all creatures which we wrongly thought they were harmful to us, such as snakes, tigers, lions... Now, we realize that their preservation is better for the global ecology, so we are acting differently.
