Don't worry Nikki (below), I can help you out. You answered my question:

I have and I don't 'slam' evolution, at least not all of it. When Darwin theorizes on the differentiation between various types of finches, I think he's fairly spot on. We see the same thing with dogs.

Extending that scenario to say that a dog and a cat had a common ancestor, or that birds evolved from reptiles is an entirely different proposition.

Darwin was a great scientist and for his day was well ahead of his time.
However, that was 150 years ago. Would you ask someone interested in dentistry to read a 150 year old book on the subject? As a historical text, sure, but not for complete information.
The best thing to do is to direct them to any decent book on biology. After all, evolution forms the basis of all biological research.

Who cares about Darwin's book. That is old and outdated. How about they pick up a modern science, physical anthropology, or biology book. Or even just read a credible source for once:

Does it really matter if we have or have not? What matter is if the data we can currently observe supports or refutes macroevolution. I believe in microevolution, of course bacteria and viruses evolve. But new species simply cannot arise from another. The data simply does not support it, and it HAS NEVER BEEN OBSERVED.

Personally, I have not. Although it would be interesting to read it some day. Just so I know how Darwin thinks and all. But I don't really -need- to read it simply because the evidence is contrary to his hypothesis.

It would be funny to see how many of the athiests who constantly slam Christianity have actually read God's book. Hmmm...

Isn't it obvious?

Unfortunately for them, their ignorance is blindingly apparent by the silly arguments they use against it.

The funny thing is, the strawmen they set up to refute evolution are much closer to their own beliefs than they are to evolutionary theory. We think their strawmen are just as crazy as they do.

If they would just read a book, they would see that they agree with us, I'm sure.

This is a joke or a riddle right?

Ok.... I can do this......
How MANY does it take?

One to carry the gasoline......
One to toss the book on the pile....
One to pour the fuel on the books......
One to light the match and toss it on the books.....
The rest of the illiterate ones roast marshmallows over the burning pile of books in the night.
