After 5 years of going through this, my two who were not really enemies now sleep on the same bed and perioidcally the one will jump on the other as he wants to play and yes, sometimes hissing will happen.
Is the one rolling on his back towards the other one, in a submissive position saying "I want to play, not hurt you."?
If he's the new addition he may be trying to figure out where he's fitting in.
When we adopted our Himmie from the shelter, he thought he was going to be boss around here, then one day, the older cat jumped off the chair, and showed him she's ruler in this cat home. Her mate (adopted with her) is "low cat" so in this house hold of cats it's the female, then the adopted one from the shelter (last one) and then the male (adopted with the female).
'They should work it out, eventually. Don't worry about the water, unless of course, he's attacking the furniture.
I've heard it said that if all else fails, rub their noses together so they have each others' scent on them.
Good luck,.

My cat used to freak out and bite her own tail for no apparent reason. We eventually had to go to the vet. The vet said that sometimes when cats undergo stress (like moving to a new house, being attacked by a dog, etc.), they start to do strange things, like biting themselves or becoming overly aggressive. I don't know if this is going to help, but I thought I'd try.
Good luck with Cheetoe! :)

Hi there
i am not a vet, but i do work with animals and this is my opinion.

First of all, how old are your cats?is cheetoe the youngest?and what sex are they all?any of them been neutered or are they all entire?
It seems to me that he is the youngest and is looking to be the top cat, or he is the last one added to the pack and the other ones aren't standing up to him.
Normally cats will have a pack order, so the best thing is to let them sort themselves out if possible.
If one of them does get seriously hurt, please contact your local vet or animal behaviourist.

your cat is very playful. Does it have any cat toys to play with or do you play with your cat?
