Your driving the amp too hard. How do you have the subs wired to it?

You don't have enough "load" or resistance (impedance) in your speaker arrangement.

If you are running 2 speakers, try switching them to serial wiring ("-" amp to "-" on one speaker, "+" on that speaker to "-" on other speaker," "+" on other speaker to "+" on amp).

This will solve your current light problem, and I bet you don't detect any difference in the quality of the sound.
