One that is intensely sharp and painful, but then fades within a minute or two? Never to be heard from again... at least for a few months? What is that?

because I have had multiple abdominal surgeries, I have scar tissue build up that are called adhesions, these can cause considerable pain when fecal matireal passes through a section of the bowel inhibited by the adhesions. But, irritable bowel syndrome can also cause such pains, as can simple intestinal gas.

I have. For me, I believe it is a digestive pain. I have colon problems and constipation problems, so I believe it was simply just a short pain in digestion. As long as the pain doesn't persist, I don't think you need to be concerned.

It could be a lot of things, but for me it was Kidney Stones.

I'm pretty sure that would be cramps.
