You'll see allot of that on UFC. Someone gets punched about 20 times and then catches there opponent in an arm bar or something and wins.

if you land the first punch or kick or head butt and its a good one you nearly always win
I find a head butt or eye gouge followed by a kick to the b@lls and a knee to the head finishes off all fights

yes.lots of times.to be a good fighter you have to be able to cop punishment as well as give it.and a lot of ppl fox so the other person stops.then the tables are turned.
