they are racist? IT has nothing to do with being a racist. My best friend growing up was Cuban, and his family did it legal, so why can't others do the same. It's about principals and morals, of which most illegals have none, not about rasism.

your wrong Bob h. people who break the law prove I'm right, of which illegally coming to this country is one, falseifying documents etc.......

2006-12-13 08:38:19 · update #2

Bob h. is wrong, I'm not racist at all. I have black friends, colombian, hispanic. People who have morals and principals would do the right thing and come to this country legally, so guess agian if I'm wrong.

And for the record, I'm talking about any illegal immigrant, not just a certain race.
DO IT LEGAL is all I'm saying.
The goverment needs to put a ban on companys using cheap labor, it's killing our economy.

2006-12-13 08:48:18 · update #4

I never said they were murders or rapists, so who made that comment is iggnorant. I'm not trying to say all illegals are totally bad, but the record stands that is how the are portrayed, people breaking the law.

2006-12-13 09:00:39 · update #5

Whoever thinks this country needs illegals are sadly mistaken. It takes jobs away from natural citizens, dirupts the welfare system, decreases our economy. DO YOU GET FREE HEALTH CARE???
I didn't think so.

2006-12-13 09:04:52 · update #6

Chee, your full of crap. why do you say it's racist??? why can't people dislike it just because it is wrong??? And whoever says I,m racist is iggnorant, it's not about the people, it's about right and wrong, and people getting away with it.

2006-12-13 09:35:47 · update #7

And also Chee, it's about special privleages handed out to people, when hard working citizens get none, thats why so many of us get mad, and that has to do with the goverment, not the illegals, but they sure take advantage of it !!!!

Paco, I'm not talking about Hispanics, I'm talking about any illegals, It just so happens that the majorioty of illegals are Mexican, and choose not to be part of this country. They won't learn English, they don't pay taxes, and a lot send most of thier money to Mexico, doing our economy no good!!

2006-12-13 09:46:24 · update #10

For LV. if somthing that was exspensive, but very worth it , would you do it ? or break the law to get it? It's worth any amount of money to have a better life, and people think they should get it for free. I've paid my time and money to have a better life, then someone comes and takes it away for free, or doesent have to pay? thats crap and not fair!!!!!

I totally agree with you, its not being racist at all, its just being tired of being overtaxed by people who sponge off the system and have no "legal" right to any of those services. If they came here legally and gave to the system, and had to fall back on the system, then they earned it, but its all the "illegals" that need to get kicked out of the system. The gov't should, do status checks on people on assistance every 3-6 months (at least) to ensure they are still in need and deserve to be on assistance. Also check all documents to ensure that notning about their information has been compromised. Even do welfare checks at their residence, if they actually live there or just using a relatives or friends address for benefits. But anyway, its not racist, just tired.

It is all approximately the Media. Mexicans don't seem to be the one unlawful immigrants. There are extra unlawful immigrants that come right here from Africa than there are from Mexico. The information does not record it considering the fact that the blacks right here and filed such a lot of court cases that they're afriad of a further one and extra loose cash being given to them. They simply combo in..

hmmm where to start. Okay, for a defecting Cuban "legal" means something completely different than it does for anyone else in the world. For a Cuban to become a legal US citizen they need only touch American land, then they can file paperwork to become a functioning, tax paying member of our society.

Secondly do you know the manner in which your own family got here? Did they come legally or illegally and eventually became naturalized citizens?

Thirdly, in principle you are right, illegal immigration is not right. But the powers that be don´t really want to fix the problem because it is a billion dollar industry for us right now. Do you know that only 60,000 work permits get issued a year? And that number hasn´t gone up in nearly 25 years?

If the problem of illegal immigration genuinely were to be solved they wouldn´t build a wall, or rant and rave in the media, or accuse any one country of creating the burden of immigrants. Or making it about race, because it isn´t about race. People come here looking for a better life, just like they always have. Let´s reform the system, create working permits that make sense and are numerous enough to make a difference. Start penalizing those whom employ illegals where it hurts, in their bank accounts, because it is them not the worker that is really making out like a fat cat. When INS starts cracking down like that, the rest will get the message and stop hiring. This will then be reciprocated by dwindling numbers of immigrants, if they aren´t confident that they can find work here, they won´t risk comming. Without work they would have no way to support themselves.

Because they want you to be racist. They seem to think it's all about race, which we all know it's not, except for those who call others racist. (their only rebuttal it seems)
The race card is old and redundant, you know you're not racist, I know I'm not racist, so ignore them and carry on man. Being against illegal immigration is not racist, most everyone knows that illegal immigration is out of control and recent events shows us that America has been sleeping, letting people sneak in and those that stay past their visas has just been rampant.
My biggest issue with illegal immigration is that we do not know who these people are.....they have not been thru any back ground checks OR Health/disease checks. Now I don't find wanting to know who is coming into my country racist, BUT many on here call me racist. S***w 'em they are just mad because ICE has been stepping up with the crack downs.

It's can't be Racist. Illegal aliens aren't a race they are foreigners of another country that have committed a illegal act in this country but entering without permission, without legal documents and not though a legal point of entry.

Anyone that defends illegal aliens are defending a illegal act and criminal themselves or least A moral. Never learning right from wrong. Just plain bad people.

I am so sick of all this whining about being called a racist. Just because someone says you are a racist doesn't make you one and just because you claim you are not a racist, that doesn't mean you are not. Noboby is falling for it when some posters talk about "those people" and then try to say they are just talking about the illegal aliens, when none of them can tell if a person is illegal, but they sure can tell who is Hispanic. But so what! Everybody is racist. If you don't like Hispanic culture, just stand up and admit it, don't go and hide, and cry when someone calls you a racist. It looks pathetic, like Michael Richards.

I have no idea...I am against illegal immigration and my wife is Colombian...we got her here legally....so how can I be a racist if I am married to a Hispanic woman...some groups just love to play the race card...it scares people off and takes light off the real issue...if they give the illegals rights...i want my money back I spent making my wife legal...

2006-12-13 08:32:18 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 6 1

I agree!

Actually, legal immigrants are more against illegals than the rest of us.

It's racist to assume Hispanics will not vote for a party that enforces the border - both parties are guilty of this assumption.

It's like assuming Italians don't want laws against organized crime enforced, or Irish don't want drunk driving laws enforced.

The assumptions are racist, not the enforcement of the LAW.

Mainly, Cubans,Europeans, Asian, Central American, and South American's come to the country legally. Mexicans are the majority of illegal immigrants. why is that? Because the government makes it harder for Mexicans to come legally. If the government makes it easier for Mexicans, there would be less illegal immigrants. Why would they pay 4,000+ to TRY to cross the border illegaly when they could no more than 2,000 to come here legally!! The government takes the Mexicans money and dont respond to their requests of citizenship!!!!

Look I hate everything that is illegal, not the person or people. I'm a war veteran and I fought and did kill but there was no hate in my heart, just doing my job. If we took prisoners we treated their wounds and treated them like the enemy but with respect. The same way with the illegal aliens, is their act that is wrong, dead wrong and our US government that do nothing to stop it, and that is really wrong!!
