I was communicating with a guy who is a casual friend of my cousin. I've never met the guy before but we were talking on myspace, and it was very flirtatious.

I never thought it was going anywhere because we live on different coasts. (He=East coast, Me=West coast.

Well, recently he sent me another message and he told me he was coming to my city next month. Then he asked what the weather was like on the west coast in the middle of January.

Well silly me, I thought he was throwing a hint to me when he said he was coming to my city, because I know he can look weather up anywhere.

So, I wrote him back and said, "If you want a tour of the city, let me know, I'll hook you up." I then proceded to give him the weather.

In conclusion he just wrote me back yesterday and wrote this,

"Right on girl...might take you up on that tour. The weather sounds quite lovely in January there."

What do you think? Was he hinting, or was I completely wrong!

HELP!

Some here are confused by the problem.

I guess I thought by him telling me he was coming to my city that he was hinting to me he wanted to meet/hookup.

So I offered the tour and he wrote back saying he MIGHT take me up on it,

I guess I was wondering if I misread into his telling me he was coming to my city, and made a fool out of myself by offering a tour.

Get it?

All you can do is wait and see but I wouldn't be waiting for a guy all the way across the country. Find somebody closer for God's sake! Can't have much romance with them long distance relationships.

It just sounds like you'll hook hiom up with
a tour. If someone where to say that to me
I would think they were talking about the tour, and if anything else was intended by it I would have been surprised

A bit confused what the problem is...

You offered him a tour of the city, he might be accepting it... he doesn't sound scared off or anything by your offer...

Don't panic, everything sounds fine to me. Unless I'm just misunderstanding the problem...

hinting at what? you offered to give him a tour and he said he might take you up on that. don't read too much into it. take it as it comes.
