I'm not giving you any ideas but puberty...you shouldn't have a baby until you have a decent job/income, house, and partner. Babies are only for people who are mature enough and in the right state of mind to have them! my 40 something biology teacher in 7th grade said that he still wasn't mentally prepared for it.

Physically you can have a baby at 11 or 12, but you should be old enough to take care of the baby and provide a stable home.

If you're asking this, obviously you're too young. You shouldn't be worried about having children right now, live your life and make sure that you're mentally and physically able to care for a child. You also have to make sure that you're financially set because caring for a child gets expensive. On the physical side, you have to start menstruating before you can have children. But remember that there are many other factors besides the physical side of having children that you have to consider, and you shouldn't bring a child into the world just because you want one and have the ability to. That child deserves the best possible life you can give him/her, and if you can't do that, then don't get pregnant. It's just that easy. I agree with the answer that said you should be 18 and that there should be a law or something.

There is no age you have to be to have a baby, but there should be a level of maturity, financial security, emotional security, and means to raise and care for a child properly before you have a baby. Some people are never "old" enough to have a baby.

Physically speaking whenever you begin your menstrual cycle...11 or 12 usually. Emotionally speaking depends on your character, but I'd say no earlier than 24 yrs. Financially speaking the rule is that you can afford health insurance for you and yours, pay all your bills, rent, etc and still have 750 smackers left at the end of the month....Which for the average family would be around 4ooo.oo a month income-wise. Biologically, the only requirement is that you've started having periods and you're sexually active.

Emotionally, you better be a lot more grown up than that!

Physically, it can wreak havoc on your body. It's been advised that you wait until late teens or early 20s before you have children.

Intellectually, you need to be very, very mature. Immaturity is dangerous for many reasons--it's hard for you to raise the child, it increases the risks of abuse, and the child will have a hard time becoming a responsible adult for lack of an example.

at least be out of school
somewhere over 20 would be a nice age because then u dont' have to worry about financial problems and stuff like that cuz u'll already have a job. im thinking someone who wants a baby early won't be going to post secondary school so get a nice steady job and have someone u will want to spend the rest of ur life with.. then go and have that baby! lol.

Whenever you think your ready. It depends on how old you are. A good age to have a baby is about like ages 22-36. Don't have one too late though, because it could be a problem, if you wait till your like 38 or something.
Hope I helped.

As soon as you have your first period you are able to conceive because a period is basically unfertilized eggs being flushed out of your body....after your period your body starts all over again getting you ready to have another one, once a month for who knows how many years (varies per person)

I personally could have gotten preggers right out of 4th grade! (early bloomer)

I saw some other answers people need to focus on your question and not give opinions on "how old you SHOULD be to have a baby".....Your question was how old do you have to be, you don't HAVE to be any age honey. If you have periods, regardless of personal circumstances, your body is capable of conceiving a child...PERIOD! =D

If you have gone through puberty, and have had your first period, you are old enough to have a baby. But it doesn't mean you should.
You will also want to have an income, be in a stable relationship and be emotionally mature enough to raise a child.
