Agnosticism is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims — particularly theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), or deities — is unknown or (possibly) inherently unknowable.
Some agnostics take a stronger view that the concept of a deity is incoherent, thus meaningless and irrelevant to life. The term is used to describe those who are unconvinced or noncommittal about the existence of deities as well as about other matters of religion.
Early Christian church leaders used the Greek word gnosis (knowledge) to describe "spiritual knowledge". "Agnostic" was introduced by Thomas Henry Huxley in 1869 to describe his philosophy. Agnosticism is not to be confused with religious views opposing the doctrine of gnosis and Gnosticism— these are religious concepts that are not generally related to agnosticism.
Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge or, alternatively, that while certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism.

An agnostic is someone who is not sure whether or not there is a god. Many agnostics strictly believe that it is impossible to know for anyone.
A good agnostic creed to give you an idea:
"you believe there is a god, then prove it."
"You believe there is no god, then prove it."
Kind of get it?
Also Important to Note:
A deist believes in a god, but has no beliefs on it past that. A lot of people get Deists and Agnostics mixed up.

agnosticism is sort of a religion but not necessarily a religion to be an agnostic means to question whether or not god exists or doesn't exist due to the fact that we feel that there's not enough evidence to prove the existence or non existence of god but as an agnostic i feel that whether or not god exists or doesn't exist is irrelevant due to the fact that i feel that we as people regardless of whether you're christian muslim satanist buddhist atheist hindu or agnostic or whatever other religion should have morals as that's what makes or breaks a society

My husband is agnostic, and the way he explains it is, I'll buy that something is in charge of the universe, I'm just not sure exactly what that something/someone is.
I don't see it as a lack of faith, I see it as part of a personal search for truth.

Being agnostic means you accept that you do either:
- Don't agree with any religion or
- Accept that we simply don't know if any are right.
Basically, its a lack of faith.
