In regard to wearing perfume correctly, you have to know what type of dilution that the perfume has:
1. You have real parfum and oils, which are usually sold in .5 oz bottles. These are the strongest and have the most staying power. You only need a LITTLE BIT!! Just apply a drop of these to your pressure points (neck, back of neck, behind your ear and on the inside of your wrists).
2. Eau du parfum - a little less intense than parfum. Usually sold in spray form (usually 1 oz. bottles) and you can spray this also on your pressure points directly, but sometimes the fragrance can be too intense if you spray too much. Even though you can't smell it after a while, when you walk by others, they can smell it. (They will think you took a bath in it.) Another good idea with this strength of perfume is to spray the perfume into the air and walk through it. It will give you a light scent and it's not too offensive to the nose.
3. Eau de Toilette is the least strong of the perfume family. You can spray that on your pressure points and not have to worry too much about spraying too much. This is usually sold in 1.7 oz bottles and is pretty diluted.
Just a little FYI -- if you want your fragrance to last longer, the trick is to "layer" your fragrance. Use the same brand of shower gel, lotion and powder as your perfume and this in combination will layer your fragrance and then you don't have to use as much perfume to start with, because you already smell wonderful.
Good luck!

Layering - shower gel, lotion/powder, and spray - works well. It works because the lotion moisturizes the skin. Your skin must be able to hold on to the scent. Cosmo has put in the mag before that a scent will last longer on your pulse points if you put petroleum jelly there first.
Also, if you're using EDT (eau de toillette) the scent won't last as long as EDP (eau de parfum) because it has less of the perfume/scent oils.

Ok, I used to sell perfume. The best way to make perfume last is to start with the shower gel, then do the lotions, talcs, etc. The last thing you want to put on is the actual perfume. Pulse Points work the best, behind ears, on wrists, etc. Also, DO NOT "crush" the scent. This is when you rub your wrists together, or rub your wrist on your neck to transfer the scent on to them, etc....this is bad. I hope this helps.

Use a perfume oil. I really like Pure Instinct its a oil based perfume that gives you your own natural scent because it has pheremones in it.

Perfume should be applied to all of your pulse points.
For it to stay on longer, you need to wear a matching lotion or cream along with the perfume

Jen has the best answer. Layering is always the best way to make perfume last longer. shower gel or soap, powder, even shampoo/conditioner and deodorant.

I don't think that it really matters WHERE you put it, because it's going to last the same ammount of time. But I recommend your neck and the undersides of your wrists.

Spray on all places where you have a pulse, and also behind your knees.
Hope this helps, it works for me.
