Sometimes when I talk about God or think about him I get a feeling of pure joy rushing down the front of my chest down to my gut. I think He loves it when we talk about Him or think about Him. Perhaps he is just lonely and it makes Him feel good to know that we still Love Him.

I think that the way many have misinterpreted the Bible, yes, "God" does have an ego.
Personally, I don't practice my religion so I have an objective view about it. As the centuries passed, I'm sure somewhere down the line, "God's" word has been tweaked slightly to instill more fear into the devout believers.

You have that feeling because it is the right thing to love yourself... hence, loving the Creator. There is no He involved with your gut feeling-- that's your body reacting to Truth.
