B-Krak,
Can we as atheist believe in UFOs. You know with our motto

"If I can see it, I can't believe it" and all?

Centrilius,

The activities have slowed haven't they.
I thought this was a "scientific specialty" area.

Dr. A. says wait until they're "identified". Then we can worship the IFOs (Identified Flying Objects)

Thanks Musicgirl. Atleast you warned me before you "popped out". :-)

It's kind of difficult for me to comprehend my atheist friends believing in the unidentified, you know the unseen, you know the "if I can't see it, it ain't there" theory.

I don't think it's the believing part, I think it's the "bowing down" part that "most" of us have a problem with.

Peace on your christian walk. Perhaps I'll walk with you one day.

hi, i'm an "other "peter"" to quote your own words. I just had to answer, even though I'm Christian. I believe there are UFO's now.

UFO simply means 'unidentified flying object'.

If I spot something moving in the sky and can't say for sure what it is, it's a UFO. If I call the local flight control tower and find out it's Delta Flight 78173 (not a real flight [I hope]), then it's now identified. However, for the time that I didn't know, it's a UFO.

So yes, UFOs exist. Many of the cases in Project Blue Book were never satisfactorially explained.

Whether or not they are actually alien space craft or time-travel devices, however, is something wholely other, and the jury is still out on that question.

Considering what the acronym stands for how can anybody dispute the existance of a UFO? Unidentified Flying Object.... Gee, I couldn't identify it and it was flying, but since UFOs don't exist, therefore it wasn't a UFO. How stupid does that sound?

No the question was Hokey! Since when does science have anything to do with religion? They don't mix.

If they're identified, then they can't be UFO's now can they?

since when was there a "we"? I'm not part of some atheist church or associated with the next atheist in any way! I'm me and nothing more! to answer your question, though; no- but if I did see one, I would believe in UFO's... after they were identified and shown to me, I would believe in that. By the way- that does NOT mean that I am associating with those redneck mother|=uckers who swear up and down that they see them all the time.

Do you not understand that UFO doesn't mean flying saucer? It means Unidentified Flying Object. Which could be absolutely anything.

I don't rule it out and I'm not saying they are advanced enough to make it to our system but they are more likely than a god.

Anything in the air that is not readily identified is a UFO, but I'm guessing you mean the type piloted by aliens.

Some evolutionist are now contemplating the idea of life coming from forbidding space since they can't find the links on earth.

Of course I believe there are unidentified flying objects but I don't thank they are alien space ships. I thank they are all from Earth. Of course there are those of all faiths who believe there are alien visitors to Earth. I think its nonsense just like their God are nonsense. xx

There is no solid proof of UFOs, until there is proof I say they don't exist
