Wow, lots of people are taking this really serious. Ok, to keep me and a lot of people from smashing their heads into walls in absolute frustration with all the SERIOUSNESS in the room, how bout some goofy answers (tar baby and oprah are some answers people have given that are funny).

Oprahism
That woman has got everything, and she will own her own country by the time she dies, and she will train them to breed Oprah lovers. They will watch old shows, study her intently, and eventually know how to give away cars and pick out the right jeans for your body type. Then, when the time is right, they shall go out into the world, spreading the Word of Oprah, and anyone who is not worthy shall be shunned as a Stedman, and banished to Tyra Banks Island when they will be forced to watch Top Model and The Tyra Banks show.
All shall behold the wonder of Oprah, and she shall show favor to the chosen.

Science evangelism- the worship of Darweinsteinedison, the lord of science.
Robo-theism- for when the robots that take over Earth have their own religion. based around the Great Builder.
Church of Jenova and Ganon- when people in the future think our videogames were sacred texts recorded on discs(it could happen).

The last religion to stand before the world goes bust is the religion of One God, and there is only One like this, ISLAM where there is only the worship of one God. Jesus will come alright and because he believes in One God and not himself has one, he will help Islam to be strong in the world, and Peace will come.
But 1000 years... well i think God knows best on that one, but my opinion human race won't be here then.

I think the most scariest religion will be one made by a scientist so its book will be accurate. It will be very difficult to disprove it as a false religion. To be honest i think there will be no religion in the future. Humanity will grow out of it.

In a few years the goverment of the world will destroy religion. In the end, the one true one will be protected by God and the governments will fall down. Then we'll have one.

we are in the latter-days. i believe that we're also in the last-days, to reword that. the Second Coming of Christ is coming soon. i think the whole population of the world and all other worlds will be trying to be baptized by immersion with the laying on of hands for the Gift of the Holy Ghost so that they can be in spirit paradise before the judgement day. that's what the mellenium is for. temple work. so in 1000 years i think the whole world will be Mormon. that's what i think.
