Yes, my spouse is an atheist as well.

He has a master's degree in Philosophy -- it utterly destroyed his Catholic upbringing.

Yes, she is. Funny thing is, she's the daughter of a preacher!

In the past, I have dated a moslem, numerous christains, a jehova's witness (that was completely unproductive), a couple jewish women (very pretty, but what a religious nightmare it was meeting the parents), a Hindu (indian women are sooooooooo hot when they're still young), and who knows how many atheists. I currently seek out atheists or agnostics, as I have found them to be more tolerant of my lack of beliefs (and somewhat arrogant attitude toward religion).

The secret to success in this type of relationship is laying the card on the table immediately. If the other person is okay with it, then date them. If not, don't. Religion is a very personal thing, and should not be a factor in a relationship if one partner is not religious. One person can go to church alone if they want to, and the other doesn't have to make fun of them for it.

Me ex wife was a Christian... if that tells you anything. :)

Our divorce was based almost entirely on the fact that she could not be happy knowing that I was a dirty atheist.

Oh, and to the guy above saying god created marriage... read up on the subject some time. Marriage predates your god by millenia, and it wasn't exactly a good situation for the woman, in most cases. :)

My SO's have ranged the gamut, but I tend towards ecclectics who dance to the beat of their own drum, no matter the beliefs it leads them to.
