Judo is a form of martial arts that uses close quarters fighting techniques to subdue an opponent. there is little striking and more use of joint locks, throws and submission tehniques to subdue an attacker. its pretty good stuff to know, actually.

Judo is a Japanese art that focuses primarily in take downs. It also encompasses submissions holds and pins. Judo is practiced with a gi or kimono; I feel it is a highly underrated art that can add ammunition to any martial artist game.

judo is a very good art to take and is great to supplement with striking or to supplement a striking art.

The one thing that makes it great is that it is generally trained very hard with resistance, the fact that there is a competitive outlet that goes beyone "tip tap point sparring" and many people train intensively in it to mix it with an mma skillset so you will find serious people there.
