The Water Grill has some of the best seafood in town on Grand & 5th. Zucca Ristaurante at 8th and Figueroa has good Italian, Pinot Bistro at 5th and Flower has great French/Continental, and for the old stand-by that NEVER closes is The Pantry at 9th and Figueroa serving classic comfort food. The breakfast buffet on the week-ends at the Marriott I hear is the best in town at Flower or Figueroa and 2nd. Great Chinese seafood in Chinatown at Hop Lee or quick French dip sandwhiches at Phillipe's on north Broadway. Ask a concierge at the hotel, there are a bunch of great places.

If you are looking to go to dinner after a show, the only thing open is the restaurant next to the Music Center. They are overpriced, and the food is not worth it.

The restaurants in West Los Angeles and West Hollywood are close, open and much better.

Bossa Nova (Robertson and Santa Monica Boulevard)
La Petit Jardin (Pico and Robertson)
Napa Valley Grill (Glendon and Wilshire)

Or you might try the hotel restaurants.

Excellent answer, Constable! I was going to suggest the Pantry and Phillipe's myself. These are restaurants that have been part of downtown for about 100 years.

And if you want to get a real flavor of L.A., try Tommy's on Beverly and Rampart. Never closes, because you never know when the desire for a double-chili cheeseburger will strike!

No, the Wilshire Grand somewhat isn't all that giant. Strictly center-of-the-highway. The Bonaventure will be a tad extra famous, per chance, even with the undeniable fact that it somewhat doesn't furnish the posh you're searching for. more effective motels may be the Biltmore, at fifth and Grand, and the Checkers, at Grand and sixth. each and each and every has extra classification, fantastically The Biltmore.

The Pantry is the best place to have the worlds greatest pancakes and hashbrowns. You will not spend a lot of money here. And I promise, you will like it. : )

Try around Olvera Street or Chinatown. There are several.
