You need to go into your local bank and ask. Do you have a checking account set up? If so, most banks will give you a free debit card. I do not think there is a minimum age you need be to get a debit card, rather there is one for a credit card b/c it is a contract.

You cant.

You must be at least 18. You can only get a debit card (or check card) with a checking account. You are not legally able to do a business transaction (checking account or using a Visa card)until you are 18. Your parents can not get you one until you are of legal contractual age.

A credit card, as well as a check card, b/c it has a Visa on it, is a legal & binding contract. You are not able to sign a contract legaly, until you are of legal age.

Besides, trust me, you dont want the problems at this age!

My daughter has had a checking account since she was 12 year old. Isn't a check also a contract?

It would have to be a joint account with a parent unless you were legally seperated from your parents.

I think you have to be 16 to get one. See if there's some way your parents can sign off on it. Otherwise, I think you're screwed for awhile.
