It usually takes me about three times as long to dry my hands on those hot air dryers than it takes to wash them.

Why then, in a typical UK toilet, are there three times as many basins as there are hot air dryers?

It's always puzzled me.......

Yes, some toilets do have paper towels, I much prefer them.
BUT vandals tend to mis-use them, thats why the authorities prefer to fit the hot air dryers.

in the uk we are taught at a very young age that when we go to the toliet we do not piss over our hands!! resulting in a shake and walk out

In a strange way that is a extremely interesting question. I think there must be a formula like every 3 sinks = 1 hand dryer

Typically they have also provided paper towels as well.

cos loads of dirty people don't even wash their hands! I never thought about it but you're right, although there is never a queue for them!
