You should have thought of that before you had sex. I am 19 and I am pregnant the best thing for you to do is be a man, take responsibility and raise YOUR child. Your parents didn't take the easy way out and neither should you.

The true question here is: What would Jesus do? Well, when Mary Magdalene got pregnant, he went off to the land saying he'd go "work." Instead he spread a bunch of nonesense ideas so that people would nail him to a stick to rot and die. Of course, this was all staged so she'd not know he was running away. Problem was that he came back and she found out, so he had to leave once more "flying to heaven." So you see, according to Jesus, the best thing to do is anything as long as you get to run from the chick and the responsibility. (okay, incase you're slow, I am joking).

On the serious side, I think you should get an abortion if its before the end of the first trimester. The abortion will make sure that she can't come back with the kid bothering you. If by some reason you can't do this, find the child a home to give in adoption. Sign the papers for adoption NOW before she changes her mind. If all goes to worse, you have Canada on top and Mexico down bottom. Raising the kid? Ha! Children are the worse STD you can catch.

Good luck.

Well, you can be a man and take care of your responsibilities. Or you can take the easy way out and dump her, but the state will still make you pay child support, and if you say I don't have a job, they will wait until you do and then make you pay support, even if the child is over 18. When you have sex, you better be prepared for the results. You are responsible for the child, whether you are ready or not.

First of all, you should have thought about that before you two had sex. Secondly, you should consult her. Maybe she wants to keep the child. If she does, you are by law obligated to help her being the father. Or you can have lawyers draw up papers saying you decline any responsibility and you give up all rights to the child.

Thirdly, if she doesn't want it, I strongly sugggest adoption. There are people who would love a child. Don't kill it because you were too irresponsible to think of the consequinces beforehand.

Adoption
An abortion can complicate things for women down the road, especially if they wish to conceive again. There are many people who would be great parents and would love to have kids, but can't for various reasons. They would love to adopt your child.
Also, find out if your community has any type of programs that will help you and your girlfriend. The American Red Cross would be a great start.
I live in Phoenix, Arizona and we have a program out here that allows new mothers to drop off there unwanted children (<3 days old) to any valley Fire Station, Hospital or church with no questions asked .

If you were mature enough to be "ready" to cause the pregnancy, you should have been "ready" to accept the possible results. Do the honorable thing, step up to the plate and take responsibility!

I'm assuming you've already spoken with her about choices and she's going to have the baby? I suggest you start getting ready for it. To discuss what you should have done in the first place would be a moot point.

To be totally honest, you can never be all the way ready for something like that. The best thing to do is try to prepare yourself because your going to have a lifelong obligation.

I hate to say it, but you should've thought about that before you got in between her legs. There's no turning back (unless she has an abortion). You can't just say,
"Well, I'll just dump her,"
because then you'd be a major jerk. Just stay with the flow, and get a job to provide for this precious human who will be born soon.

You're the Father of this child. You have to be ready for it. Time to become a man and take care of your responsibilities. You are responsible for this child.
