pick a date that is good for you, your fiance, and your immediate families so that there are no issues. You could get married on an anniversary that you have celebrated, or another day that is meaningful to you.
Spring and summer weddings are popular because people have vacation time, school is typically out for the summer and it might be easier to get everyone who needs to be involved together.
Avoid major football/ sporting events, otherwise all of the guys will retreat to a television in the local bar.
What is your favorite flower? Is it a summer flower, or a winter flower? This could also help you decide. It wouldnt be so much appropriate to have summer flowers in a winter wedding, or vice versa.
Best wishes!

It depends on how big of a wedding you want to have.... if its a big one then you have to take time into consideration, Im having a year engagment, I am at 5 months already and its has been a blessing there is so much to do.... I want to make sure everything is perfect... if you want a big wedding give yourself time... if you want a wedding where the weather is warm and its going to be kinda small, try doing it this summer, but things book up pretty fast you may be too late... Good Luck.

Well, it all really depends on what time of the year is your favorite. As well as anything else in your life going on (move/baby/vacation/etc).
If June is your favorite month have it in June of '08 (it might be too late to reserve things for a June '07 wedding).
I would try to NOT plan it around holidays. But that is personal preference for me.
Plan it for the day you two met. Or the day he proposed.
You have plenty of time to figure out a date, no need to fret about it.

Pick what your favorite time of the year is, and try to plan it for then. Most people have weddings in the spring or summer...fall is a good time because the weather is cooling down, and leaves are changing.

I agree, that is a hard decision to make, there are so many factors, I think, as long as it doesn't fall near you or your fiance's birthday, September is the best month. The springtime is a pretty time, but so many holidays and it always seems rainy, the summer months are too hot, and any later than September you start getting into holiday season again.

Well, it really depends on your preference in seasons. I've seen absolutely gorgeous December weddings with Poinsettias and glitter, and really cute outdoor fall weddings with pumpkins and corn stalks. Which season is your favorite? Once you decide that, narrow it down from there. Then you can pick out your colors and decorations. Good luck, and congratulations!

well first i would work on the year...how soon do you want to get married. if you want to get married in 2007 you need to narrow down to a month. when did you start dating your fiance? lots of people get married the same month they start dating.
how is the weather in the place you want to get married? for example if it is typically a really hot temp location you may want to shy away from the summer months.
do you know where you want the wedding as in what reception hall etc? if you do then check with them for availablility dates. that could help you pinpoint an exact date
have you asked your fiance? he may have an idea as to what month he wants to get married.
don't stress out!

I think you should pick a date that like July 7, 2007 (7-7-07) or something that is catchy and easy to remember. Or you can just hold off and see how things go. Good Luck and Congrats.
