It can work for him!!!!

On the surface level (which is the only way I can look at this) I would say that it would be difficult. Eventually those small things that you will find cute in the beginning (i.e the generation gap) will eventually seem to be gargantuan in size.

I find it interesting that a 45 year old man seems to feel he has something in common with an 18 year old young lady. I understand the reasoning from your perspective, but any 45 year worth his salt would know that this would be an intrepidation on you and would pass because his wisdom tells him that is the right thing to do.

But as with everything else in life the choice is yours. Just tread lightly and good luck to you!

I would be very concerned on what both people have invested in the relationship.

I don't know many things that an 18 year old and a 45 year old would have in common.

Sorry to tell you, but no...I don't think it would work out.

I guess that anything is possible. But it's not likely that it would be based on a lasting, meaningful love. Usually, when men that old go after 18 year old girls, it's not for their minds or personalities and such relationships are almost always bound to end sooner or later. And plus, there are just too many differences that hinder a relationship.

It is possible, but not very likely. Personalities continue to grow and change long after the body is grown. We continue to learn and our ideas and opinions change. I don't think anyone under 30 should be married! We kind of settle in after about 40 I think. Your differences won't be so apparent for awhile, but they will arise and most likely sour the relationship in only a couple of years. It has, however, been known to work.

I don't think so, simply because at 18 the girl will address the 45 year old man as father, and at 28 the girl will address her elderly man as grandfather.

That's a big age diifference...old enough to be your dad. Ewww. I don't think it would work out in the long run. He's almost middle-aged and you're not even 21 yet...

Boy, did he wait until you became legal.
I think it is a bad idea. What could you possibly have in common? Either he is incredibly immature or a child molester. Besides, he's old enough to be your father!

It's ok but it depends on how you look at the situation and him. For example, if you really love him the relationship might be able to work.
