1. Meat at Costco freeze it or split it with a friend.
2. Staples like pasta + sauce, canned beans for salads, canned tuna and chicken from Costco-very good and quick
3. Frozen veggies: just pop in the Micro
4. Fresh fruits and veggies from small, local markets for throw- together salads.
5. 99 cent only stores also have a great selection of food.

Shop local markets, check ads weekly, use coupons.

Pre-plan the week's meals, we usually have a meat once a week , fish once or twice, pasta one night, leftovers one night and Sunday we have a good supper. Every night we have a veggie or a salad-keep us healthy.

Meals that are cheap & fast: Taco salad, hamburgers, baked chicken at Costco that you can shred for tacos or pull apart for a meal with microwaved veggies and a side salad and Hummus and pita bread is a nice atterative on a hot night.

Here's what I do. I get the stuff to make a huge pot of chili. One day we eat a bowl of chili. The next day, I put it over baked potatoes. Another day I use it for spaghetti sauce. We don't get tired of it that way. You could also have chili dogs. Also I slow cook pinto beans for enough to last a couple of days. By the way, you can always freeze this stuff. You don't have to eat it days in a row. The ingredients for these two dishes are very inexpensive. Don't forget milk, cereal, eggs, veggies, and fruit. That's just my two cents. I know it's not two weeks worth of food, but I hope these ideas help you.

Fresh fruit and vegetables. Frozen vegetables also are good because they won't go bad as quickly as fresh vegetables. Also, tuna, spinach and bread. The tuna can be put on the spinach for a salad or on bread. You can add some fresh vegetables to the salad. Big tubs of yogurt and nuts are good for snacks.

Vegetables - potatoes, carrots (root veg tend to last longer).
Meat that you can freeze. Chicken drumsticks for quick meals. Check larger chains rather than small shops as the prices can be cheaper, e.g Walmart.

What ever you do, do not go to the groceries store hungry you
will buy more then expected. And you will buy what you want instead of what you need.
