It's not about how many hours your in school that make you eligable for financial aid to pay for your schooling but your credits. Depending on what type of clases you take they give you certain credits. To be a full time student you have to be inroled in 12 units. You could have 3 or 4 classes or even more because you could be getting clases that only give 1,2,3 or even 4 credit. I Took this sememester 4 classes and a total of 12 units but next semester i'm talking 6 classes and 14 units so **** luck in picking classes.

Standard Full Time Student Status (usually for insurance purposes) is 12 credits.

12, that means that you are in class 12 hours a week. 11 or less is part time.
