What a wide open question, you could argue for hours on this one. Euthanasia has it's place and is prectice to some extent which I believe is right, there is an ethical dilemma though, you will always have some answers here that say 'life is life no matter it is precious' and precious it is, but you must take into account the suffering, agony, pain wretchedness people are feeling and wish to end their life.

Its and individual choice. Do not burden your nearest and dearest with the decision, make it yourself while you are still fit to do so.

Bad idea, short step from compulsory. people should be allowed all they need to make their continued life tolerable, we have the drugs and equipment necessary to cope with all manner of things. Addiction is not an issue for those with chronic pain or the terminally ill.
In addition it is unfair to place the burden of assisting a person to end their on others.
