If Religion is good, then why all these different Religions "fight" or "argue" about each other's practices. Mormons knocked on my door claiming that they are the real church. The Catholic church is somehow "messed up" because all these controversies. Muslims are seen to be "terrorists." ...

My question: Is there a REAL RELIGION? that is, as the mormons claim "Is there a REAL CHURCH?"

The only "real religion" is the one where you worship God. Denominations (different religions) originally come from different places. And because countries have always been fighting, the denomination that is different from another must be wrong, just like in war. But if you really look, I mean put the denominations under a microscope, you'll see that there is no such thing as a different religion.

They all learn about how God created earth, people and animals. Then they learn about how Jesus was born, and raised, and what he did as an adult. Denomination is only a word. There is no such thing as a right or wrong religion. As long as you worship God the way he wants us to, and do God's will if he calls upon us to do, then that's all that matters.

In my opinion, we should just take the work denomination out of the dictionary, throw it out of the minds of people, lock it in a little black box, and give that box to God! Denomination only causes problems in the religious world. It causes wars, fights, debates, so people are starting wars, "in the name of god", which is total bull!

When someone says "follow us, we're the 'right' religion", they usually mean, "we're not the right religion, and we're getting desperate for more followers!"

Well, my answer is NO there is no such thing as a "real religion", or a "right or wrong" denomination.

Yes there is...
And, the reason there are so many: Satan. He knows which church is true..but leads others astray...
Think about it this way:
Adam and Eve were taught the one true gospel in the beginning...then one person decided they didn't like something about it, so they started their own or changed their own beliefs to fit what they wanted...and so on and so on...all religions stem from one, the true gospel.
It was taught to Adam and Eve, it was taught by Jesus Christ and it was thankfully restored by the prophet Joseph Smith and is now being spread to the whole earth...
President Hinckley once said, " Bring us all your good and let us see if we can add the rest." All Christian religions have good parts, just not "all" the parts. That is where the restoration of the gospel steps in and answers those questions we have - Who are we, where did we come from, where are we going and why are we here...
Any more questions - I would love to answer about the LDS.

*****BY THE WAY - Yes, salvation FROM DEATH is a gift. Everyone is entitled to that that ever lived. Salvation and eternal life with God must be "earned" or "worked for", it is after we have done all we can do, that the Savior's grace will make up the rest for us.

Only God is good. Not all religions are created equal. In order to know which God is the true God, which religion is the real religion, go back to the Flood (which really occurred) and look at the people who were saved. Only a family of 8 out of probably thousands or millions of people were saved, because they were the only ones who worshipped the true God. There is an unbroken line of worship through Noah down to Abraham, down to Christ and down to today, while all other peoples turned to false gods throughout history. The Bible is the only holy book on Earth that demonstrates its own veracity. It's a compilation of 66 books written by 45 different authors, most of whom had never met each other, of varying backgrounds, over a period of 1500 years, and yet it is all one cohesive unit. How is that possible, outside of divine inspiration?

Religion is man's way of trying to reach God.

Relationship is God's way of reaching us, through Jesus Christ.

Rev. 22:18-21 tells us not to add or take way from the Bible. Mormons did that with the Book of Mormon, after the New Testament clearly lays out salvation.

Salvation is a gift (you can't earn it). Mormons are taught that you earn your way into Heaven by following the Book of Mormon.

((I'm using the Mormon's because you did.))

Mormons are also polytheists. They are taught that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are three different Gods and that good Mormon males become Gods.

The real thing is Jesus Christ. Find a church that does not misrepresent Him, and you will be in the right place. That's tough to do because-even the Baptist and Presbyterians get off the road every now and then, -and they are about as straight as it gets. The Mormon and Catholic churches are both cults, as most conservative Christians will agree.

i wouldn't say there is a 'real church' i think it is just a way for people to be secure and teach their children how to act.

i think it is just a way to be controlled into thinking. i believe in right and wrong and i have morals. but because i don't belive in god or christianity i am now going to hell.

the real church is what you believe. i don't think there is a wrong choice people believe how they believe because that is how they were brought up.

i like wiccan beliefs, although i am not, because it has a central around yourself and morals of what you do, but not a true belief in a god. people say this is wrong. i say, if it is wrong and 'evil' why am i not being punished for it?

the true church is what you yourself believe.

There are many real religions out there, but here's a way for them to stop knocking at your door. Show up at the door with a gigantic pentacle painting or show up nude, they will never bug you again.

I'm absolutely serious.

religion is surely what you believe. if music was your life/religion then a real church would be a night club of sorts. if sports was then it would be a stadium. hey if you like reading that much then maybe your church is a library. just my thoughts.
