This is part of a Christmas present, but I haven't been able to find a website which I trust, or one that doesn't require a down payment. Thank you so much!!

Wall, boundary, barrier.
A useful link for you is http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?nmd=n&terms=muro&submit=Go.
Unfortunately it didn't include your name, but there is no doubt as to its meaning, as "muro" comes from the Latin "murum", meaning wall and the meaning is the same in French, Spanish, Portuguese -- and even Welsh!
How did Mr Walls of ice cream fame get his name, I wonder?

Muro is Italian for wall. In the "old days", people were distinguished with a surname, usually by what they did for an occupation or by who their father was. {Smith= blacksmith, Fitzpatrick= son of Patrick} anyway, you should talk to your grandparents or any relative that can give you some hints as to the meaning or origin or you name. The meaning could be for so many reasons. Perhaps your family were bricklayers, they built walls, or perhaps you come from a family that use to guard castle walls...Or possibly, your family name was changed when they immigrated into the US. Sometimes, surnames were written phonetically. So it could be possible for your name to be French in origin: Moreau

The only 'rooster' names I can find in Italian are: GALLO, GALLETTI, GALLI, GALLINI, GALLONI, GALLUCCI. Nothing colourful in there, though.
