I'm making some hot buttered rum this weekend but I am unsure of which kind of rum to use. White, gold, spiced? Help please!

For a deeper flavor use Myers Dark Rum, Or Cruzan Dark Rum.

And don't forget the pinch of brown sugar! Yum

Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is great or, for a deeper rum flavor get a really, really dark rum. You could also add really dark rum to the Capatin Morgan's and that should produce a great hot buttered rum.

I like Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, personal preference, but the new flavored rums from bacardi might be good with vanilla leading the way.

Choose your favorite I enjoy all of them. There is nothing like coming in out of the cold and parking in front of the fireplace with something hot to warm the insides. Normally if there are kids I stick to the hot chocolate, and hot apple cider is fine when there is a group, but Hot Buttered Rum is best shared by a couple.

I use half white run, like bacardi silver, and half meyer's dark rum... the blend makes for a deep enjoyable flavor

You can use any kind but Bacardi Gold is my favorite. It adds a nice flavor to the drink.
