my question regarding, christians answer questions with a verse get thumbs up if the verse reflects love and kindness, if they know the answerer is a non-believer, answers a verse regarding something they dont agree with they give thumbs down. why am i seeing this?

it would seem to me that this means you dont agree with the verse, thus you dont agree with the bible. isnt this quite hypocritical to state that its gods word and then turn around and deny certain verses valid because u dont agree with them?

I never thumbs down an answer or question, or report someone's question just because I don't agree with it... but I will if it's decidedly racist or predjudiced or full of hurtful words. No one will always agree with everyone, especially about religion, and just because someone has a different opinion does not make them wrong... it simply makes them different than me! I will, however, thumbs up well thought out, sensitive, or what I believe to be correct answers. Mom always taught us if you can't say something nice to or about someone or something, don't say anything at all! And I listen to my mom! LOL

I for one try not to reply with a bible verse simply because of people using the term circular reasoning. For the ones that do not believe in the bible,it is of no use to them even if it makes common sense, they will still rebuke it.I'm not being mean, that's just a fact.

If the person asking the question is an unbeliever,as long as it is a genuine question, and not some question to heckle or belittle or make fun, then the Christian should answer to the best of their knowledge, because it might actually be someone on the other side in need.None of us know what's going on in that person's life.
If an unbeliever is asking a question that's derogatory or vulgar, then the Christian needs to just bypass the question and go on,not put their "two cents" in on the subject.

because if you read the bible closely, the bible says one thing in one area of it and then tells you the compleat oppiset in another so the bible actually is a bunch of bull that people actually manage to believe in. yeah my questions I've asked has been deleted because they don't want to admite that I'm right and they are to into there own beliefs to realize it. Sad but true

You should see my list of deletions. :)

Over half of my questions have been deleted, many of them months after they were asked. Some kind of Christian gang has targeted several atheists in this way.

As far as I can tell YA either doesn't read the questions, and just deletes them at will, OR the staff at YA is majorly against atheism.

Chippy,

Not everyone here is who they say they are. Why do you automatically think it's a Christian giving you a thumbs down or reporting you getting your questions deleted?

Sometimes, people just want to jack with you (not your per sa) but people can be odd, wouldn't you agree?

so what makes you think it's a christian? If you don't ask offensive questions, you won't get reported. Keep it G rated and you'll have no trouble. It has nothing to do with christianity.

Dude, I'm almost constantly having accounts deleted because of the xians reporting me. Here's the fun part, though: I'm exchanging emails with some of them on my bogus xian account, and I'm gonna find out who's doing all the reporting around here.

your question got deleted because it was offensive. it had absolutely nothing to do with whatever bible verse you put in it

I didn't see your question, so I can't tell you why someone wouldn't like it and report it.
