People keep asking questions like this, but there really isn't that much evidence that humans are responsible for global warming. And if we are, it is so far along that nothing we can do will affect it. No matter what, driving a more fuel-efficient car or turning off your light bulbs WILL NOT work, and I am sure of that!

Do you really think that everyone getting a little better gas millage will change the climate of the WHOLE WORLD???

Global warming is a natural phenomenon. A lot of people site the fact that recently temperatures have the highest on record. Did you know that that record is only about 200 years long? Compare those 200 years to the millions the earth has been around. Climate change IS going to happen. We are currently in an Ice Age, so it stands to reason that average global temperatures will be increasing in the future.

It is an environmentally sound practice to limit your impact to the earth's resources, but in the big picture will not prevent the natural temperature changes the earth goes through.

Simply put, if we assume that global warming is caused by man, then traveling less, consuming less things and using less energy will help. Even if some products do not need energy when we use them, their manufacture does. Energy (electricity) production in turn is the major contributor to global warming, along with using fuel for travel.

What makes these decisions hard is that most people will probably only curb their energy consumption when it is too late, so even if you or I save lots, it will just mean some other guy can consume a little bit more for a little bit longer. Pessimistic, yes, but I cannot see how it could be otherwise.

We can't prevent Global Warming - it's pre-programmed, so to speak. The best thing you can do regarding Global Warming is to NOT under any circumstances, believe everything you hear. Research it yourself, use some logic and common sense and understand the issue. Most people on here can't differentiate between Global Warming, the greenhouse affect, and basic ecology.

The science world states in one place that too much housing is some of the cause. I can see that, but because people hate changes the building codes and methods of building cannot change. All, because we have not done it that way before. I say where it is possible build home below ground and cultivate good climate crops over the top. Also the use of fuel to heat would be greatly reduced. This would also stop urban spawl. But, that will never happen as many people could not show off the facade' and point with pride to the monster house that cost and cost to heat and cool. Commons sense has never been peoples thing.

I don't believe that "global warming" exists. Many scientists have studied this and a lot will agree that it is simple a cycle, just like the ice age, but opposite. To be completely honest, right now we are slightly into an ice age. Over millions of years the glaciers will melt and the ice age will be over. Then millions of years after that, it will return to it's current state. Global warming due to emissions and stuff like that is most likely false and has no scientific backing.

Most of the evidence depends on CO2 and I don't know where u been but the CO2 is not there. Where did it all go ? I am pretty old now and back when I went to school they taught the truth, and not a political truth. They taught about plants and photosynthesis removing the CO2 from our atmosphere for millions of years. The plants need the CO2 as much as we need oxygen. Where do u think all that oil, gas, and coal originally came from???? It all ties together. If there is no CO2 there is no global warming and never has been.

They have not really been keeping true records since the dawn of man. They normally give stats of 100 - 150 years ago. Even with that how much faith do you have in Zeek 150 years ago on his way to the outhouse to record true temps. The wind chill factor was just modified cuz they now say it was not giving true results. The point is that there have been many ice ages, and many times the planet had baked. I would say those were pretty exteme changes & the cave men had no spray cans or cars.

revive nuclear power. it's the cleanest, most efficient way of producing energy. only problems are: the possibility of a meltdown, which would basically own the area surrounding the plant, and how to dispose of the waste. under correct supervision metldowns wont occur. wastes can be launched into space toward the sun, or be chemically restructured to usuable fuel again =)

Watch an inconvenient truth for starters, use only that which you truly need and believe in yourself. This love for you will be mirrored to the world around you. This will create an abundance of love externally. this will then assist Mother Earth to heal. We all must love ourselves so we can accept others. This will keep fear of lack and loss to a minimum allowing the Earth to maximize her efforts to heal. Unconditional love is the strongest medicine there is. Love, love, love and be gratefull for the healing as this will attract more of the same.
