I am looking to purchase a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law who is SERIOIUS about BBQ. He makes a lot of his own home made sauces and rubs but can anyone recommend any REALLY GOOD packaged rubs? There are many different brands out there in gift baskets on Amazon but I have no idea what is good. Please help!

Dig deep and buy him one of each. If he's that into the BBQ he has his favorites for different meat, sweet, spicy, sweet and spicy, smoked,etc.etc. What I'd enjoy the most is a New Cookbook with recipes and combinations to make my own rubs and sauces, one that comes to mind is by Steven Raichlen, he's one of the best, hope this helps, Merry Christmas, I'll keep my nose in the air for that smell

go to the foodnetwork.com, I am sure that you can find what you are looking for there, I would check out Bobby Flay on that site he is the barbcue expert on that site. Good luck and happy holidays everyone

Anything made by McCormick's brand is good. They also have rubs for ribs that they sell in stores too. Try this link too:

I would try one from Kansas City Steaks or QVC.
