Scan with your antivirus software and remove anything it detects. If you don't have an antivirus, use AVG.

There are many different antivirus programs available on the Internet. I use one from Eset called Nod32. It is generally rated the best by tech people. Be sure what you have is actually a virus. Viruses seem to be more and more rare these days. The popular trend is now Spyware/Malware. Some of these can be next to impossible to get rid of. At best you could be looking at HOURS of work and scanning. The best thing to do is to back up your data (if possible) and reinstall Windows. Once a computer has been compromised by a Virus/Spyware/Malware, there is no way to guarantee it's security again unless you reinstall Windows. After you reinstall make sure the first thing you do is install an File System Monitoring Anti-Virus and a Spyware/Malware detector. Microsoft has a free spyware/malware scanner/detector. It is called Windows Defender.

Update your anti-virus to the most current signature files.
Try to identify the virus using your anti-virus program. Go to the anti-virus web site and search for the virus. Your anti-virus vendor may have specific instructions to remove the virus.
Disable system restore. This will delete all of your restore files so you don't reinfect from system restore.
Reboot in safe mode by pressing F8 before Windows starts. Scan your PC for viruses in safe mode. Reboot in normal mode and scan again.
Enable System Restore
