I am certainly not an expert on Skittles, but I would guess it doesn't matter since they are simply sugar. Can they even go stale?

Skittles doesn't really get the stale? It's so full of sugar it prolly can last for weeks

Vend Max suggests a shelf life of one year. Did you know they are not a vegetarian product. The contain gelatin made from animals.

I don't know if there's really an expiration date, but I'm sure it's safe to eat after they are stale... you might get a tummyache but no biggie.
