Okay for the Athiests, I don't want your mockery and foolish words of idle chatter. So onto my question, so hypothetically speaking, for the athiests, what happens when all the Christians and Jews dissapear due to the coming of the Lord? How are you going to explain that away? Science? I don't think that any scientist could explain the dissapearance of millions of people no bodies left they are just gone. Will you run to the nearst church to see if we are hiding? I mean really think about it. Don't come back with "it's not gonna happen" because I dont' want to hear that, I already know that is the first thing that popped into your head. Answer truthfully and thoughtfully . Other religions are welcome to answer too.

Um for those christians who have comments such "did you really expect to ge and intelligent answer from an athiest?" They are people too with feelings they just don't believe they have a creator. How can you expect them to take you half seriously when you in turn mock them just as they mock you?

Along the lines of your question, I'd like to ask what's so wrong with believing what we as Christians believe? I mean, I'd rather live my life having faith in God and trying to live a life of love only to find out I may have been wrong then to spend my days telling people that God doesn't exist only to die and find out how very wrong I was...and then having to burn in hell for it.

Peace on Earth. Finally!
>> How are you going to explain that away?
What makes you so sure it's going to happen?
>> Science?
Actually no - if such an occurrence *actually happened*, I wouldn't have an explanation - I'd be forced to conclude "supernatural intervention". But, since we all know it's not actually going to happen...
>> Don't come back with "it's not gonna happen" because I dont' want to hear that, I already know that is the first thing that popped into your head.
How astute. Now why did you ask the question? Where is your proof this will ever happen? Where is your proof that this has ever happened before? Why are you trusting a prediction from the bible , when Jesus himself made predictions that were errantly false:
Matthew 24:34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
If Jesus couldn't get it right, what makes you think you can?

Christians have been waiting for Jesus for almost 2000 years. That's 730,000 days!
If this were a horse race, and you waited that long for the horse to come in, it's a pretty sure bet that the horse never left the gate.
Keep waiting. The only thing you'll waste is time, your life, and all the neurons taken up by the fantasy. But otherwise you could be thinking about Brittany Spears, You-Tube, or Legos, so I guess there's not much difference....everyone chooses their hobbies.
Or perhaps you could do something to help the planet, like volunteering at a soup kitchen, becoming a Big-Sister, building a house for Habitat for Humanity. The Christians that put more emphasis on dealing with real life than focusing on the second coming get my respect. Those who dwell in delusion deserve the derision they receive.

What do you mean when the Christians and Jews dissapear due to the coming of the Lord? Do you mean Jesus as Lord?! or God itself?
I would say from the knowledge i have from my religion, when we all die, there is Judgment day, and God is gonna punnish all those that He wills, and forgive whom He wills.
That day is going to be such a day, that you going to see people running from their families and friends, people with the sun on the top of their heads suffering a hard time.
NO BODY WILL ESCAPE THAT DAY.

Well considering your own bible says Flesh and Blood can not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50) your no bodies idea is absolute crap!
Secondly 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump... WHAT DO THE WORDS AT THE LAST TRUMP MEAN?
Thirdly 2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan ..... WHAT DOES THE WORD AFTER MEAN?
Clearly you do not even know your own book of fiction and you want to act as if we should tremble at your ignorance? Your ignorance and your fantasy God MAKE ME LAUGH!

if u read the bible it wont be millions of people. the bible says the church is corrupt and many will be decieved. many christians who think they are christian will find out they arent.
it also says many of those will turn and curse god, while non-believers will turn to god and pray.
its going to be chaotic. we'll see when the time comes huh??
btw the revelations are quite symbollic, them disappearing could be the work of a bomb vaporizing people. we wont know till it happens. after all the guy who wrote the future was how many years ago? he had absolutely no idea of what technology we'd have today, he explained it in terms he knew.
im agnostic so im skeptical of the whole thing. revelations always intrigued me though.

Sometimes I think maybe he have a change of mind and heart and let them atheists come on up with us or maybe they have to prove themselfs someway. Anyway, gonna be sparse pickens once we all gone, who they gonna argue with. Oh and don't you be believing them about science, Granny done learned long ago that science gonna be the that prove about the Lord, not the one that dis prove. Granny

Ask again when it happens. I'm a Pagan, and I don't believe you're all going to one day disappear and be taken away to golden heaven land. That's just ridiculous. You know how I think those left will explain it?
"Tragedy all those people died in those [huge explosions] (or insert other manner of death here) set off by the religious fanatics."

when -- not if -- this takes place there are going to be some people with surprised looks on their faces wondering " what the --------------------- ( fill in the blank here ) happened ? then turning to their neighbor asking " did you see what I saw ? " and no one there to answer. Hmmmmmm, interesting isn't it ?
