on this verse: 1 Peter 1:6,7,8 & 9
like things you observe about this verse

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, "being" much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christm, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see "him", yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, recieveing the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls

thanks

A few things:
1. Your faith will be tested hard
2. Faith becomes stronger through the testing
3. Faith will be expressed by "praise honor and glory" (which seems oddly redundant)
4. It seems to support, no! It clearly supports the idea of "eternal insecurity." That is, once saved, not always saved. The idea that that you will receive the salvation of your souls at the "end of your faith." Clearly there is an option to not receive this (having not obtained the end of ones faith)

Fight the good fight till the end. Despite life challenges and its trials staying faithful to the end even though it may be very difficult at times, the reward will be heaven for you have persevered in your faith.
